Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management LLC (an Ethara group company) is committed to protecting your personal information and to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis on which we collect, use, disclose, share and protect your personal information (which includes personal data) obtained either automatically as you navigate through the Website and/or our Venue or directly from you as a result of your interaction with or use of any features of our Website, that you provide to us during your purchase of any Yas Marina Circuit tickets, products or services (whether online, offline, over the telephone, through our mobile applications, via social media or otherwise), and/or which you disclose to us in connection with your entry to or attendance at the Yas Marina Circuit venue and/or participation in and Yas Marina Circuit Experience. This Policy also describes your data protection rights, as well as the policies and procedures that we have in place to respect your privacy and keep your personal data secure. Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management LLC (an Ethara group company) is the data controller of any personal information provided to us.

If you choose to limit the way in which you want us to collect, use or disclose any information, then you acknowledge that some aspects of the Website and/or our services may not be available to you. 

By viewing the Website, you acknowledge and accept that Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management LLC (an Ethara group company) shall have access to all of the personal data you submit on or through the Website and/or otherwise submitted by you in connection with the purchase of any Yas Marina Circuit product, service and/or Experience.

What personal data do we collect?

Typically, your personal information will be provided directly by you and may include information such as your name, date of birth, gender, Emirates ID card (copy and/or number), credit card details (and other related payment information), address, telephone number, email address, postal address, and marketing preferences. All Payment Information is securely processed and handled by our Payment Partners.

We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with us and our Website, when you contact us, when you purchase goods and services from us (such as tickets), when you complete any booking forms, complaints or other correspondence to us, when you visit our venues, when we carry out market research, when you subscribe to any of our newsletters or mailing lists, when you contact customer services, when you enter our contests and competitions or generally when you submit any personal information to us for any other reason. 

When you visit our Website, we may also collect, process and use information about you and your use of our Website, including your login information, time zone setting, browser plug-in types, operating system, any forums you visit, a log of the visited pages and how you arrived at our Website. What personal data do we generate or receive from third parties?

We may generate or collect information about you ourselves. In an online context, we and our authorised third parties may use “cookies” and/or other tools to store and sometimes track information about you. In an offline context, we and/or our authorised third parties may collect information about you through our CCTV cameras, from your completion of health and safety records or by keeping access records of our venues.

We also receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you login to a site or app using Facebook Connect you will be asked if you wish to share information from your iFacebook account with us. Similarly, if you use a “like” or a “share” button for a feature on our Website or any third-party site or app (such as social media platforms), then the third party will share information with us. We sometimes will receive relevant information from third party ticketing sites, such as Ticketmaster, to manage your purchases. We also receive information about individuals that the police or other sport stakeholders recommend or require us to ban from our venues. We may also obtain information about you from third party demographics providers, which we may use to better understand our users and send them appropriate offers and information.

If we provide online services to a child where we need parental consent for this, we may ask for a parent’s email address, in order to ask for consent.



How do we use your personal data, and what is the legal basis for this use?

We only process your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted under applicable law. We process your personal data for the following purposes:
  • To fulfil a contract, or take steps linked to a contract: this is relevant where you make a purchase from us or enter a competition we run. This includes:
    • verifying your identity;
    • taking payments
    • communicating with you;
    • administering the competition (where relevant); and
    • providing customer services and arranging the delivery or other provision of products, prizes or services.
  • As required by us to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, in particular:

    • we use CCTV and other security measures to enforce our ticketing conditions, protect the safety of those at our venues, provide evidence in relation to incidents taking place within our venues and to prevent and detect unlawful activity. This latter purpose is our legal basis to the extent that any CCTV footage or other record kept by us involves holding information about you relating to actual or alleged criminal activity;
    • we use information you provide as well as information which we have collected about you to investigate any complaints received from you or from others, about our Website and venues or our products or services
    • we will use data in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes as necessary (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation); and
    • we use data of some individuals to invite them to take part in market research.

  • For purposes which are required by law:
    • where you exercise your rights under any data protection law and make associated requests;
    • where we are required to hold or collect personal data to meet legal requirements on us, such as keeping health and safety records, details of purchases or ensuring banned spectators are not given access to our venues;

Minors

We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personally-identifiable information from persons who are minors. No Personal Data should be submitted to us or posted / circulated on / through our websites or other forums managed by us. If a minor has provided us with Personal Data without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian may request a description of the Personal Data that has been collected from or about that child and either limit or restrict any further maintenance or use of such information from that child and/or direct us to remove or unsubscribe them.

If you are under 21 years of age, you may only use our website and services with the permission of your parent and guardian. We further encourage all parents and legal guardians to participate in or supervise their child or children's use of the Internet and involvement in the website, and in their interactions with us.



Who will we share this data with, where and when?

We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management LLC (an Ethara group company) (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers). Any personally identifiable information you elect to make publicly available on our Website, such as customer reviews, will be available to others. If you remove information that you have made public on our Website, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of our Website, or if other users have copied or saved that information.



How long will you retain my data?

Where we process data in connection with your registration to use our Website, we do this for as long as you are an active user of our Website and for two years after this.

Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data indefinitely so that we can respect your request in future.

Where we process personal data in connection with performing a contract or for a competition, we keep the data for 7 years from your last interaction with us or from when the contract ends. 
 
Where we process CCTV footage, we hold this for a month, unless we have been asked to extract footage, in which case this is held for 10 years from the date it is extracted.

Where we process personal data to meet legal requirements, we hold this for as long as the law requires.

We hold information relating to visitors to our venues for a month.

Where your data are held on our systems, then at the end of the retention periods set out above, we will not irrevocably delete your information for another 3 months – your data will be held in an inactive form for this time to ensure that any consequential links across our systems remain intact in the event that your data are removed in a particular location.



How do we protect your personal data

Keeping your personal data secure and preventing unauthorized access to that personal data is of utmost priority to Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management LLC (an Ethara group company).
